Built by a photographer who shoots picture day too.
Not a software company that found a vertical. A photographer who got tired of the tools and built a better one.
I’ve spent years behind the camera on picture day. I loved the work and dreaded the software. Everything felt clunky and corporate — built to manage me, not help me. And every platform wanted a big cut of money I’d earned.
The part that bothered me most: facial recognition on kids. Sorting a child’s photos by scanning their face means building a biometric record of a minor. That never sat right with me, or with the schools I worked with.
So I built Photo Chalk — the tool I wished existed. It runs natural, outdoor shoots at volume, sorts photos by time instead of faces, keeps the AI on your own computer, and pays you directly. No cringe, no opaque cut, no scanning kids.
What we believe
- Your work, your clients, and your money stay yours.
- We don’t scan kids’ faces — ever.
- Picture day can be natural, warm, and real.
- The math is always shown plainly, up front.
